- On what type of hair can I use the keratin hair straightening treatment with Encanto cosmetics?
Encanto keratin straightening can be performed on virtually any type of hair: colored, natural, curly, streaky, dry, damaged from previous chemical treatments. However, it is not recommended to use the products on thin, brittle and severely damaged blonde hair from previous bleaching and decolorization treatments (for blonde hair, we recommend Encanto BLONDE Set 2x100ml+1x200ml) With this type of hair, a longer break after bleaching or a restorative treatment, such as Encanto Acai Mask cosmetics, is recommended.
- To what temperature should the straightener be heated to properly perform the treatment?
It is recommended to use a straightener with a minimum heating temperature of 216-232°C.
- I also want to dye/bleach my hair - when should I do it?
Hair coloring should be done before the treatment (preferably about 2 weeks before the treatment). If this is not possible, hair coloring can be done at an interval of min. 2 weeks after the Encanto keratin treatment. Hair bleaching is recommended to be performed min. 2 - 4 weeks before or 2 weeks after the keratin straightening treatment (tips - question #1). Remember that you should never color or lighten your hair at or near the same time as the keratin treatment.
- I would like, to trim my hair - when should I do it?
It is recommended to trim or cut your hair after the Encanto treatment, as sometimes, split ends may be visible on some hair types after the keratin straightening treatment.
- I have previously used cosmetics from another brand for keratin hair straightening. Can I use Encanto?
Yes, of course, there are no contraindications - the choice of cosmetics is entirely a personal preference!
- Can the Encanto treatment be used on children?
Yes, however, we recommend using the treatment on children over the age of 10.
- Can Encanto be used on pregnant women?
We do not recommend performing the treatment on pregnant or breastfeeding women.
- For how long do the effects of the treatment last?
The effects should be visible for up to 4 months, fading gradually with each hair wash.
- After how long can I repeat the treatment?
Depending on individual preferences and conditions, some women have no need to perform the treatment more often than every 4-5 months. However, some women perform the keratin hair straightening treatment much more frequently. It depends on individual preference and hair type.
- The instructions on how to properly perform the treatment seem to be time-consuming. Can I skip any of the steps?
No. Due to the use of a unique formula in Encanto cosmetics, thanks to which the hair can already be washed the same day after the treatment, it is necessary to follow all the steps exactly in order to get the right results.
- Recently, I used another brand of cosmetics for keratin hair straightening. After the treatment, it was necessary to refrain from washing the hair for about 2-4 days - Do I have to do the same with Encanto?
This is not necessary, you can wash your hair the same day!
- What can I do to alleviate any sensitivity to product odor?
The basis is proper ventilation - avoid small rooms, use additional ventilation in the form of fans or open windows. Also, always use gloves and a protective face mask.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Wash your hair shampoowith Clarifying Shampoo 2-3 times, or as much as needed to thoroughly clean your hair. After washing, towel dry your hair until it is damp (be sure to drain excess water).
2. Make sure you are in a well-ventilated room. Divide your hair into small sections. Put on gloves and a protective mask. Shake the product (Straightening Treatment) well. Squeeze the desired amount into a bowl. Before starting the process, test the product on a small area of skin to see if allergic relations occur, wait a few minutes. If the skin is not irritated, continue with the treatment. Using a brush, begin applying the product to the hair, starting 0.5 cm from the scalp and continuing to the ends. Avoid contact of the product with the scalp. After applying the product to the entire length of your hair, wait about 15 minutes.
3. Blow dry your hair with a hair dryer set to medium heat. Once completely dry, use a flat iron heated to 216-232°C to straighten hair in sections of 6,7 times. After finishing straightening, wait 30 minutes.
4. Wash your hair again with shampoocleansing shampoo (Clarifying Shampoo). Towel dry your hair until it is damp. Then, using a brush, start applying conditioner (Post Treatment Conditioner) to small sections of the hair, starting at 0.5cm from the scalp and continuing all the way to the ends.
4. Once your hair is thoroughly coated with conditioner, wait 15 minutes before rinsing with water again. When rinsing, only 50% of the product should be rinsed out (similar to a leave-in conditioner).
5. After rinsing, dry your hair with a hair dryer, blow-drying in small sections until it is completely dry. Using a straightener heated to 216-232°C
simply the same sections 6-7 times each. This is the end of the process and you should already see amazing results. You can do whatever you want, as there are no restrictions on how to style or wash your hair. Enjoy the result!
Some of the steps may seem redundant, but you should follow all the directions for optimal results. Shampoo ( Clarifying Shampoo) can be used daily, but remember that the conditioner (Post- Treatment Conditioner) can only be used during the treatment itself. Using sodium-free products is not necessary, but has been shown to prolong results.
